Indian music artistes and music channels are also gearing up to celebrate the day in a big way.

Music networks MTV Beats and Vh1 India, in collaboration with Facebook, will be airing 24-hour live music, in collaboration with several artistes.

“Twenty-four hours of non-stop live music is first of a kind and a refreshing surprise for everyone surfing Facebook any hour of the day. There is no better way to pay tribute to this day than performing alongside such talented artists,” says Actor Aparshakti.

India’s biggest music network 9X Media will be airing unique Smashups of Indian and International songs on their music television channels, starting 19th June 2019.

The Kala Academy in Goa will be organising a musical programme with Western and Indian classical music performances to mark the occasion.
