Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan & Salman Khan (both now feature regularly in Forbes richest top 100 celebrities in the world), were once at war with each other, which lasted for several years.
Salman Its common for stars in Bollywood to have a cold war over various things, but they usually don’t last for long. After all, there are no permanent enemies (and friends) in the film industry. But this one is different; its a war between the two biggest stars of Bollywood and it has lasted over five years. Not sure how it all started, or what prompted them to go all out against each other? Watch this video to know A to Z about the Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan War.
On the eve of Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash in 2008, its believed that SRK made inappropriate comments about Salman’s ex-flame Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which annoyed him.
However, King Khan later said in an interview that Salman got angry because SRK turned down a cameo in the movie ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’ (Salman agreed to do a guest appearance in Om Shanti Om). Salman, in turn said he never offered him the film, adding, “Shah Rukh was like my brother. He used to call me sir, sir during his struggling days.”
In 2011, on Koffee With Karan, SRK publicly apologised to the actor saying: “If Salman is angry with me, it is 100% my fault.” However, Salman retorted saying SRK’s apology was for TRPs.
At Mukesh Ambani’s bash in Sachin Tendulkar’s honour, Salman took a dig at SRK saying: “Sachin ka record todna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai. Aur yeh Don nahi main bol raha hu.” King Khan reacted saying: “I get numb by the kind of stories I keep hearing about myself. I try not to take them seriously or comment about them.”
“Yeah, I have this picture on my phone, Shah Rukh Khan and me performing at a concert (you can also see singer Abhijeet in the background). This is a show we did in London (or Birmingham). I know we did this one show together and we had an incredible time,” revealed Salman Khan recently.
The Patch Up
SRK and Salman Khan, who had fallen out over some unknown issue during Katrina Kaif’s birthday party five years back, and even forced the industry to pick sides, shook hands & hugged each other at MLA Baba Siddique’s iftaar party. It was probably a moment the entire Bollywood was waiting for as apparently they seemed to have patched up.
However, you can have a look at the video and decide for yourself if they really looked comfortable with each other.
Have you seen the video? Does it not look like the PATCH-UP work that the Mumbai municipality carries out on the potholes on the MUMBAI roads? Will it last only for a few days only for the potholes to develop again?
Maybe not, because here’s what SRK tweeted the following morning “Finally u realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, becos there is so much more to the book than the page u were stuck on, (sic)”.

Siddique was obviously thrilled and said, “Hope this friendship stays. May be they wanted to do so, that’s why they did.”
Shah Rukh vs Salman Khan: Is the War Really Over?
Since then, they have been coming face to face in the public, and the good thing is that they’re behaving like grown up men and seem to be cordial to each other, at least in public. Salman even invited SRK for his sister Arpita’s wedding (it seems he did that because Arpita wanted it that way).
But the million dollar question is, is the war really over? Will they ever be friends again?
Salman doesn’t think so! Despite their patch-up, Salman recently said that “SRK and I can never be friends”, whereas SRK thinks “Salman and I don’t talk which is absolutely right”.
We don’t think there ever will be a sequel to the movie ‘Karan Arjun’, what do you people think?
