Mykonos, part of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean Sea, is among the most famous islands in Greece. Known for its vibrant nightlife, its home to massive dance clubs where world-renowned DJs weave their magic, Mykonos is popular for its endless parties (where guests start partying at 3 am and it goes on till 9 am). Several Greek celebrities own houses in the island. However, that’s not the only thing to do in Mykonos.
Its authentic and natural beauty, traditional architecture, and plain charm, attracts visitors from around the world. Mykonos’ world famous beaches offer all sorts of entertainment, sports and leisure.
The neighborhood of Kastro, church of Panagia Paraportiani, Archaeological Museum, picturesque Windmills and shopping in Matogianni, the famous street with fashion boutiques, are some of the hot spots of Mykonos island.
There is an airport connecting Mykonos with Athens, and other cities in Greece. Charter flights from all around the world come to Mykonos during summer. You can even take a boat ride from Athens that lasts four hours or a speedboat which takes two hours.
Bollywood film Jodi Breakers (Bipasha Basu and Madhavan) was filmed in Mykonos.

Now the tourism board of Mykonos wants to get more Indian families and Bollywood crew to come over and experience the Greek islands of Mykonos.
Even if you have not been to this place, you would definitely have seen pictures of this location, where all the houses are painted in white. And because its a tourist attraction, to maintain the whitewashed element of the local houses and buildings, the houses in Mykonos can’t be painted in any other colour except white.
Another appealing thing about this place is that cars are not allowed on the island.
