When Aamir Khan Mastered Tap Dancing

Aamir Khan Learns Tap Dancing for Dhoom 3
Not among the ones to take his audience and fans for granted, Aamir Khan learnt to tap dance for his movie ‘Dhoom 3’, to make the scenes look natural. He may not be known for his dancing skills, but looking at the video, the ‘3 Idiots’ star seems to have delivered a perfect performance.

What is Tap Dance?
Its a form of dance where you hit the floor using your tap shoes and create a sound similar to a percussive instrument. For that reason, many also consider it to be a form of music.

Two major variations on tap dance exist:

  1. Broadway tap: This form focuses more on the dance and is widely performed as a part of musical theater
  2. Rhythm (Jazz) tap: It focuses more on musicality, and dancers are usually jazz lovers and consider themselves to be a part of the Jazz tradition.
